01
What Is The Lakes?

A waterfront oasis in the desert.

The Lakes is a master-planned community located in the central-west portion of the Las Vegas valley, built around a 30-acre man-made lake that gives the neighborhood its name and its character. Developed in the 1990s, it was one of the first communities in Las Vegas to bring waterfront living to the desert — and it remains one of the most beloved.

Residents enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing on the lake, along with miles of walking paths and trails that wind through parks and greenbelts connecting the community. The lakeside setting creates a resort-like atmosphere that is unlike anything else in the valley — a genuine escape from the desert landscape without ever leaving the city.

The Lakes is especially popular with families, professionals, and anyone who values outdoor living and a tight-knit neighborhood feel. Homes range from around $400,000 to over $700,000 depending on lot position, size, and proximity to the lake, with some premium waterfront properties commanding higher prices.
